three ideals contained in the NAEYC and DEC codes of ethics that are meaningful
to you, and explain their significance to your professional life.
NAEYC
I-1.3 To recognize and respect the unique qualities, abilities, and potential of each child.
We as teachers may some times forget that all children are differnt and that they learn different. I feel that this idea is very important so that teachers don't lose their focus on anyone child and treated them all as the unique people that they are.
I-1.8 To support the rights of each child to play and learn in an inclusive environment that meets the needs of children with and without disablities.
All children have the right to play and learn they do thisat the same time. Children should be given handss on activities and be allowed to explore the world around them.
DEC
We shall recognize our responsibility to improve the developmental outcomes of children and to provide services and support in a fair and equitable manner to all families and children.
I very much feel that it is our responibility to to improve the development of children we must also provide the services families might need in support of their cgildrn.
I agree that it is very important to recognize that all children are unique. We should be able to accept our responsibilities as educators.
ReplyDeleteI love the ideals you chose. I honestly think we could have all posted them all, but I know we had to pick three :)
ReplyDeleteI like I 1.8 because the is my educational philosophy, all children deserve the opportunity to be taught and to learn.
Yes, we are all unique and learn in different ways I am so glad that we are embracing diversity in learning as well as diversity in our children and families
ReplyDeleteI like what you have posted. I think that it is amazing that we all have so much in common and that all we want to do is make a difference and take a stand for the children of our nation.
